Stay a day or stay a week, there is plenty to discover.

As the Pancake Rocks and blowholes are powered by the tide, it is worth staying at least one night in Punakaiki so you can witness the natural phenomena at different times of the tidal cycle. With half and full day walking tracks in the adjoining Paparoa National Park, including New Zealand’s latest Great Walk, a half day loop track between the Punakaiki and Pororari rivers, Truman track and endless beach combing you won’t regret staying longer in Punakaiki.

We look forward to hosting you to this special part of the world, a sub-tropical paradise that is good for your body, mind and spirit.
